يمتاز
كروان الماء الكبير بطول منقارة حيث أنه يتغذى على
الديدان والرخويات الملاصقة لسطح الأرض في المياه الضحلة ويدس منقاره إلى آخرة في
الماء والطين ليستخرج الديدان ويأكلها.
One of the large waders with long bill and legs, inhabits a wide range of
habitat, from grassy upland moors, grassy open areas in forests and damp
grasslands and traditionally managed hayfields particularly in river valleys.
In Kuwait it is usually seen at see shores.
